One of my favorite places to visit during the warmer months is Hocking Hills. It is a beautiful area filled with trails that are picturesque every where you look. The other thing that I like about Hocking Hills is something you might not immediately expect…no cell phone service. When our days are so busy and we are constantly connected, getting to spend a few hours disconnected and outdoors is the best way to destress. Wanting // To be outside all the time. We’ve had some really beautiful days this last month and every time the sun is shining I can’t help but want to be outside instead of stuck in doors.
Reading // The same two books I’ve been working on for the last few months… My days have been so busy lately that by the time I sit down to read, I start to fall asleep after a chapter or so! It takes a while to finish a book when you are only reading a chapter at a time!
Watching // House of Cards. I know what most people are thinking, where have you been? I just started Season 1 last week and I’m totally getting into it. I’ve been resisting the urge to completely binge watch it.
Listening // S-Town Podcast. If you listen to podcasts, you’ve probably heard of This American Life and Serial. S-Town is from the creators of those podcasts and it completely had me hooked on the first episode. I couldn’t resist binge listening to this one.
Hoping // To get my bike out soon. Even though we’ve had quite a few nice days, I still haven’t had a chance to go for a long bike ride yet!
Waiting // For the weather to get just a little warmer so I can start wearing dresses. The mornings and evenings are still a little too cool for me to want to throw on a dress in the morning.
Wishing // There were more hours in the day. I know, I better keep dreaming!
Working // On managing my time. I mentioned how that this is one of my goals for this month so I’ve continued to try to focus on doing one thing at a time in order to stop getting distracted so easily!
Dreaming // About taking a vacation. I know, it was less than a month ago that I went to New York City however I’m dreaming about a vacation that allows me to completely unplug.
Snacking // On too much candy. I swear, Easter is just as bad as Halloween when it comes to having sweets around!
Drinking // Lots of coffee. I really should switch back to tea but it just doesn’t give me the kick that coffee does!
Planning // A week at a time. These last few months have been quite busy and it is hard to fit everything in. I find that planning a week at a time helps me to stay on track.
Saving // For a raining day. Or that vacation I keep dreaming about. Not sure yet!
Looking // Forward to more days like this weekend! The last two weekends have been incredible and I can’t wait for more time spent outside with my camera.
Wearing // My Tieks flats. It is officially time to put away the boots and throw on the flats!
Buying // To much new makeup. Which you saw if you read my last blog post!
Refusing // To fall into negativity. When people are in a stressful situation, it is easy to become negative and that seems to spread like wildfire. The best way to face a stress is with positivity!
Organizing // My pantry. It is time for a spring cleaning…
Loving // All of the fresh blooms on the trees and flowers. I’ve noticed this last week the trees really have started to pop with little leaves.
